Best American Music Festivals for 2014

When it comes to putting on a show, nobody pulls out all the stops like America. US music festivals are revered across the globe and with the newfound love for all things electronic, it’s no surprise that dance music events are now absolutely monster shows, and music production courses are more popular than ever!

We decided to create a list of some of America’s most sought after tickets for 2014. With Coachella and Ultra fast fading in the memory, it’s time to look towards the next line-ups of musical mayhem that only the good ol’ U.S. of A can provide!

Burning Man Festival – Aug 25 – Sept 1 2014
If you haven’t ever been to the Burning Man festival, whatever you do, don’t speak to anyone who is a yearly disciple; you’ll be there for hours! Rated by many as the most far out party on the planet, Burning Man staggers their ticket applications throughout the summer with the next releases due out on 31 July and 4 August 2014. If you haven’t already got a ticket, sit by your phones and pray.

Electric Daisy Carnival – Las Vegas – 20 – 22 June 2014
‘Big Momma’ is just around the corner and this year she’s had a little baby! That’s right, there will be a two-day warm up party in New York City on 24-25 May in preparation for the mother of all Electric Daisy’s in the City of Sin! We won’t go into the full line up as we’ll be here all day, but acts that you should definitely check out away from the big headliners are Eats Everything, Adam Beyer and Maya Jane Coles.

Bonnaroo 2014 – Manchester, Tennessee – 12 – 15 June 2014
This is a little more leftfield than your usual EDM fest, but check out the line up and you’re sure to be impressed! Frank Ocean, Kanye West, Vampire Weekend, Artic Monkeys, Lauryn Hill, Kaskade, the Flaming Lips; even Lionel Ritchie appears so you can be dancing on the ceiling! The camping is like a sauna though, so take a fan, or a personal assistant!

Neon Desert Festival – El Paso, Texas – 24 – 25 May 2014
With an eclectic line up that features A$AP Ferg, Crystal Fighters, Method Man, Wiz Kalifa, Zedd and Classixx Live, this will be one party that will cater for many tastes. Plus with tickets for the two days priced at a very reasonable $90, this festival won’t break your wallet like a few of the others.

Lollapalooza – Grant Park, Chicago – 1 – 3 August 2014
This is probably has our favourite line up of the summer, so if you’re in the Chicago area be sure to check it out. Really mixing up the genres, you can see Eminem, Artic Monkeys, Nas, Kings of Leon, Outkast, London Grammar, Rudimental, Calvin Harris, Jagwar Ma and literally hundreds of other amazing acts. We are going to this, so be sure to buy us a beer. Or pick us up off the floor. Whichever’s easiest!

So take your pick folks, with so many good festivals around in 2014 you really are spoilt for choice. We’re going to Lollapalooza and Burning Man (if we can get tickets) so hopefully see you there!
