Then, tap into your local Garnish student hub for everything else — collaborate in person, connect with like-minded peers, get help on your modules from our in-house team, and be part of our global creative community. You’ll be working towards your qualification, delivered in English and recognized worldwide. For your final year, choose from our network of university partners to complete your BA (Hons) degree in person or online.

Part 1

Level 4 Extended Diploma in Songwriting & Production (120 credits) provides a comprehensive foundation in songwriting, composition, and music production, equipping learners with skills in lyric writing, melody creation, harmony, and arrangement. They develop technical proficiency in DAWs, recording, mixing, and sound design, refining their ability to produce professional-quality songs. Learners explore genre influences, storytelling techniques, and industry trends, ensuring versatility across musical styles. Business-focused modules cover branding, marketing, and monetization, preparing learners for commercial success. Through collaborative projects, industry feedback, and live showcases, graduates gain practical experience, positioning them for careers in songwriting, production, artist development, and music publishing in the global industry.

Level 5 Extended Diploma in Songwriting (120 credits) advances skills in songwriting, composition, and music production, refining lyricism, melody, harmony, and arrangement to professional standards. Learners master advanced DAW techniques, recording, mixing, and sound design, ensuring high-quality music production. Business-focused modules cover music publishing, licensing, branding, and revenue generation, preparing learners for commercial success. Through collaborative projects, live showcases, and portfolio development, students gain industry experience, building strong networks. The course also emphasizes career sustainability, financial planning, and self-care, equipping graduates with the skills to succeed as songwriters, producers, artists, and music entrepreneurs in today’s evolving music industry.

→ There are several pathways available, with a choice of validating universities, depending on your specific skills, needs and goals.

→ Apply to study at a University in the UK for a year to complete the BA top-up.  Tuition fees may be higher, and you will need a student visa.
